The Linette Mining project is located in the community of Munchugo, district of Santiago de Chuco, province of Santiago de Chuco, department of La Libertad. Currently, the project has a social license from the Munchugo community through a meeting minute for permission for exploration, development and exploitation activities.
It possibly consists of a VMS-type deposit located on levels of andesitic lavas with a porphyritic texture belonging to the Calipuy Group. The mineralization occurs in the form of mantles 10 to 20 meters thick with high values of copper and silver. The Project has currently been divided into three sectors: El Chilco Sector and Nueva Esperanza Sector and the Vetas Munchugo Sector that are currently under exploration.
Geologically, the Project is based on a sequence of sedimentary rocks, overlying volcanic rocks of the Calipuy Group, made up mainly of pyroclastics and lavas of andesitic composition. and metallogenetically, the project is located on the limit of the strips of Au and Ag epithermal deposits, Cu, Mo and VMS porphyries.
Targets
The El Chilco Sector shows high geochemical anomalies with copper concentrations from 0.8% to 4% and silver values from 6 to 47 gr/T, accompanied by anomalous values in Mo, Ni, V, Pb and Zn.
In the Nueva Esperanza Sector, the mineralized structures show high concentrations of copper between 0.6 – 1.0%, accompanied by anomalous values of Bi, Mo, Ni, V, Pb and Zn.
